The Immigration Department of Malaysia is the sole entity in-charged of
immigration matters in Malaysia.
Passengers are advised to check with the Malaysian Consulate or
representative office nearest to you for the Visa requirements before
planning a trip to Malaysia. For Malaysian who fear have been blacklisted
from leaving the country, please check their current immigration status by
logging into the Immigration Department of Malaysia's online checking
system.
An alternative method to check your immigration status and to find out which
government agency has issued the blacklist order is by calling the 1Malaysia
One Call Centre (1MOCC) at Tel: +603-8000 8000 (MOCC) / +603-8880 1555
(Operation Room).
Autogates at Arrival and Departure
Malaysian citizens and Permanent Residents with
Malaysian passport
may proceed to the autogates with Electronic Passport Reader for speedier
clearance. There are manned immigration counters available to provide
assistance if you facing any issue with Electronic Passport Reader.
Visa on Arrival
Nationals of China and India arriving directly from Thailand, Singapore,
Brunei and Indonesia holding a valid visa of those countries can obtain a
Visa on Arrival (VOA) for a maximum stay of 15 days (that cannot be
extended) at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL), Johor Bahru (JHB),
Kota Kinabalu (BKI), Kuching (KCH) and Penang (PEN), provided they holding
return flight tickets and have at least USD500 per person. The VOA fee is
200 Malaysian Ringgit, other currency not accepted as VOA fee. Boarding pass
or tickets are required to prove that you have arrived from a specific
country.
