Airport Security at klia2
The objective of airport security in klia2 will be to safeguard the
passengers, crew, ground personnel, the general public and the airport
infrastructure against unlawful acts as per ICAO Standards and Recommended
Practices laid down in Annexure-17 to the Chicago Convention.
Auxiliary Police (Polis Bantuan) Malaysia Airports Aviation Security (AVSEC)
Airport security in klia2 is support by Auxiliary Police (Polis Bantuan)
which are trained and guided by Royal Malaysian Police (RMP). They're constantly
co-operates closely with RMP to conduct security check and safeguard the
passengers, crew, ground personnel, the general public and the airport
infrastructure against unlawful acts.
Security Screening
Security screening checkpoints are located before the boarding gates at each of
the boarding piers. Passengers will be screened for security after clearing
immigration and customs, before entering the boarding gates.
Liquids, Aerosols And Gels (LAG)
International bound passengers must declare all LAG at security screening
checkpoints. Containers of not more than 100 ml each shall be required to be
carried in one standard transparent re-sealable plastic bag with a maximum
capacity not greater than 1 litre. The bag must be presented separately from
hand luggage at the security screening checkpoints. LAG in excess to the
allowable quantity should be kept in the checked-in baggage. Medicines, baby
food/milk and special dietary requirements required on board during the fl ight
are allowed (must be verified by airport security) and do not need to be carried
in plastic bags.
Baggage Screening
Checked-in luggage is screened by aviation security using the in-line baggage
screening system once checked-in for both Domestic and International flights.
